Marc Guehi has apologised to Daniel Iversen for what he did during Crystal Palace’s 2-1 win over Leicester last Saturday.
What’s the story?
Well, the south Londoners snatched all three points in the 94th minute against the Foxes last week in what was a crucial clash – as far as the Premier League relegation battle is concerned.
Crystal Palace had to come from behind after Ricardo Pereira opened the scoring, with Eberechi Eze forcing an own goal from Iversen following a superb freekick – a strike Guehi got a bit carried away with.
The England international was seen pumping his fists passionately in celebration after his side’s equaliser, right in front of the Leicester No.31 as if to rub it in his face.

It seemed deliberate at the time, although Guehi has now apologised to the Dane.
The £20m man told Palace TV: “I actually want to apologise, I think it was in front of the keeper. I didn’t even mean to go near him. I was just really happy about the goal.”

Crystal Palace result had big impact on Leicester
Putting the situation involving Guehi and Iversen aside for a moment, it seems the 2-1 defeat for Leicester at Selhurst Park has had a huge impact on developments at the King Power Stadium.
The result has already cost Brendan Rodgers his job.
Now, the Independent believe Leicester are tempted to copy Crystal Palace’s decision to go with experience in Hodgson and are considering a move for Martin O’Neill.
The 71-year-old has been out of management since leaving Nottingham Forest in 2019, and has not managed in the Premier League since leaving Sunderland in 2013.
As things stand, Leicester remain managerless, so the result in SE25 really did plunge the Foxes into uncertainty.
