Rangers v Celtic - Cup Final

Celtic and Rangers lock horns in the Scottish Premiership in a 12:30pm kickoff at Parkhead.

Ange Postecoglou’s Hoops will hope to seal his third derby triumph of the season against the Ibrox outfit.

Meanwhile, Michael Beale will hope to clinch his first derby victory at the helm of the Gers.

Sky Sports pundit and Rangers cult hero Kris Boyd has given his thoughts on the big game.

He believes Kyogo Furuhashi has been the difference-maker for Celtic and could do the same on Saturday.

Boyd also reckons it would be “very hard” to argue against the idea that Rangers would be top if they had Kyogo.

The pundit added that, “if he gets himself into the shape he was in before”, Alfredo Morelos could also be a threat.

‘The impact he’s had’

Boyd wrote: “Would Rangers be leading the title race if they had Kyogo?

“It would be very hard to put an argument up against it because of the impact he’s had and the goals he’s scored.

“Teams retreat 10 or 15 yards because of his pace and movement, and that then allows space for the players behind him.

“Both teams have got fantastic players but there’s a reason why strikers are the most important players on the pitch, and the difference for me has been the goals Kyogo has been able to score.

“But it’s also what he brings to Celtic in terms of his work rate and closing down, getting after people and starting the press.

“His movement is second to none. Defenders don’t want to get too close because if he spins, he’s in, but if you drop off, he’ll be able to turn. He can see a pass as well – he’s a clever footballer.

Morelos has done it before and there’s no doubt that, if he gets himself into the shape he was in before, he can still be a threat in this game. But only Beale will know what condition he’s in.”

Furuhashi is top of the Scottish Premiership scoring ranks, with 20 goals.

Celtic are currently nine points ahead of Rangers in the table. The Hoops have won 28 of their 30 league games this season.

Celtic beat their fierce rivals 4-0 at Celtic Park back in September. Their last league meeting against the Light Blues saw them draw 2-2 at Ibrox.
