Kerry, 42, is set to appear on new E4 show The Big Celebrity Detox alongside former Love Island star Toby Aromolaran, and Too Hot To Handle’s Chloe Veitch.

The tough new reality programme will see various stars, which also includes the late Queen’s cousin Princess Olga, will be forced to endure a series of wild and wacky treatments with the aim of helping to improve their lifestyles and have an impact on their everyday health and wellbeing.

The Atomic Kitten has always been incredibly open about her past issues with drugs and alcohol abuse, previously revealing that snorting coke when she first went bankrupt caused her to have fits.

Kerry says the main purpose for doing the show is to help her get some body confidence back after gaining three st.

During the show the guests try a number of different therapies including open grave meditation, drinking your own urine and seed therapy, which is a type of acupressure using seeds, pulses and legumes to release pressure.

Discussing the show with OK! magazine, the media personality said: “I’m desperate to do ayahuasca [a plant-based psychedelic].

“I’ve also been in touch with a doctor in Bristol who does therapy with MDMA for PTSD.”

Kerry also went on to say that she would like her kids to try therapy, noting: “Yeah, I think all my kids should have therapy.

“Their lives may not have been like my upbringing, but they’ve still got their own shit to deal with.

“Just having Kerry Katona as a mum is f**king bad enough! They get treated differently because of who I am.”

The Sun previously revealed a number of stars who had signed up to join the show alongside TV legend Kerry.

We exclusively confirmed that presenter Martin Roberts and reality star David Potts would be among those trying out the extreme detox retreat.

Too Hot To Handle’s Chloe Veitch and kickboxer Michael Page are also doing the show, which we revealed Megan Barton Hanson quit after two days of filming.

A TV insider said: “The brave celebs will take on extreme wellness treatments that are unlike anything you have seen on TV before.

“From covering themselves in urine, to having coffee enemas and getting naked together, this is not for the faint hearted.

“Some of the girls will even be getting their privates steamed on national TV!”

What is microdosing MDMA and is it legal?

Psychedelic psychotherapy has long been used in some communities to treat mental health conditions including depression, PTSD, eating disorders and anxiety.

There is currently a lot of research into the matter going on across the world, including medical trials and more.

In fact, earlier this year the Australian government announced it would be changing the classification of two compounds, psilocybin (magic mushrooms) and MDMA, so that from July they will be prescribed by psychiatrists to treat depression and PTSD.

Currently, in the UK, the only drug that can mimic these effects on the brain but is also licensed for medical use is ketamine.

Mircodosing means taking a tiny amount of a psychedelic drug, usually measured by a health professional based on your height and weight, that is supposed to help ease symptoms of mental health and improve creativity.

Both magic mushrooms and MDMA, the drugs most commonly used to microdose, are illegal Class A drugs in the UK and carry a maximum sentence of seven years in prison for possession.
