When Jim Toth met Reese Witherspoon, he wasn’t famous… but he was involved in the world of celebrity. According to his LinkedIn, Toth worked at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) as a talent agent and partner from 1995 until 2019. The company represents some of the biggest celebrities in the world, with Deadline reporting that Witherspoon’s now estranged husband worked with major stars like Zoe Saldaña, Matthew McConaughey, Zooey Deschanel, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Jamie Foxx. He then moved to the ill-fated streaming service Quibi, where he served as the head of content acquisition and talent until 2020.

Things appeared to change a little for Toth after that, though. His main focus these days appears to be his work on various different boards. As of April 2023, he’s a founding board member at Witherspoon’s company, Draper James, and he’s also on the member board of trustees at the Just Keep Livin Foundation and the Providence St. Johns Medical Center Foundation. But that’s not all! He’s also an advisory board member at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center Board of Overseers, on the board of directors at Flowcode, and a founding board member at Witherspoon’s media company, Hello Sunshine.
