Prince Harry and Meghan Markle only work one hour a week

They went from working royals to hardly working.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly each worked just one measly hour a week at their Archewell foundation in 2021 after resigning from their royal duties a year prior.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex each clocked in at a total average of one hour of work per week, meaning they toiled away for just 52 hours that year, according to the non-profit’s 2021 tax filing.

Other officers for the foundation who worked an average of one hour per week included Executive Director James A. Holt, Treasurer Secretary Catherine St-Laurent, President Richard Genow, and Treasurer Andrew K. Meyer, according to the papers.

It should be noted that one hour per week is the standard amount that non-profits disclose for board participation, and should be reported as such, according to The Daily Mail.

The report indicates that the charity allocated $163,085 on salaries and that Holt was paid $59,846 with $3,832 in other benefits. This means that Holt, who worked one hour a week, earned a staggering $1,224 per hour that year.

The document also states that two independent contractors received more than $100,000 of compensation from the organization that year.

Harry, 38, and 41-year-old Markle’s Archewell foundation —named after their 3-year-old son Prince Archie of Sussex — handed out more than $3 million in grants after raising $13 million from “two wealthy benefactors.”

Speculation surrounding the donations points to Oprah Winfrey as potentially being one of the main benefactors, The Daily Mail reported Friday. And $3 million was, according to the publication, donated by Harry himself as a piece of the $20 million advance he earned from publishing his controversial memoir, “Spare.”

Harry and the “Suits” actress, who got married in 2018, announced that they were stepping back from their royal responsibilities in 2020. They moved to California where they now reside with their two kids: Archie and 1-year-old Princess Lilibet.

That same year, the pair announced that they were launching their Archewell foundation.

The “impact-driven global nonprofit” aims to put “compassion into action; uplifting and uniting communities locally and globally; online and offline,” according to Archewell’s website.

Since relinquishing their royal roles, Harry and Markle have maintained a contentious relationship with members of the royal family.

Markle blasted the British monarchy during the couple’s 2021 bombshell interview with Winfrey, claiming that members of the royal family did nothing when she came forward with thoughts of suicide and that members also expressed concerns over Archie’s skin color.

Meanwhile, Harry went in on his family in his scandalous autobiography. The red-headed royal bashed his dad King Charles III for referring to him as his “spare” child and accused his brother Prince William, 40, of physically attacking him.

It remains unclear whether Harry and Markle will be attending the coronation of King Charles, 74, and his 75-year-old wife Queen Consort Camilla in May, however, the couple was invited.

Reps for Markle and Harry did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
