Marvel star Jeremy Renner shared an update on his recovery following the ghastly snow plow accident he was involved in on New Year’s Day.
Renner can be seen using a treadmill in a new video he shared on social media. In January, the actor suffered over 30 broken bones when he tried to save his nephew from being crushed by his defective industrial-grade snow plow.
According to reports, after suffering blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries that necessitated multiple surgeries, he no longer considers acting a “priority.”

Jeremy Renner Is Back On His Feet!

Months after being crushed by a snowplow that weighed more than 14,000 pounds, the actor shared video footage on social media showing him in recovery mode as he walks on a treadmill without assistance.
“I now have to find other things to occupy my time so my body can recover from my will,” Renner, 52, captioned the video he shared on Twitter, along with the hashtags “#mindful,” #intended,” and “#recovery.”
In the video, Renner spoke with another man about the device being like “having a cane.” He captioned the footage on his Instagram story, “Now is the time for my body to rest and recover from my will.”
The “Hawkeye” actor’s road to full recovery has been well-documented; in a video he previously posted, he was seen sitting on a fitness machine, resting one leg, and pedaling with the other while using a tool and his arm to help him move.
Jeremy Renner Was Involved In A ‘Tragic’ Accident

On New Year’s Day, the actor was involved in a horrific accident while attempting to save his nephew from being crushed by his snow plow machine.
Renner was run over by the PistenBully machine while helping a family member pull out a stuck vehicle from approximately 3 feet of snowfall, per People Magazine. He sustained severe injuries due to being crushed by the 14,330-pound machine. The next day, the Marvel star had to undergo two surgeries.
His recent treadmill recovery footage follows a series of updates he previously shared since he underwent surgery. He notably shared a picture of himself shortly after the accident, where he thanked fans for the good wishes but couldn’t say more because he was “too messed up to type.”

“These 30-plus broken bones will mend, grow stronger, just like the love and bond with family and friends deepens,” Renner concluded in the caption. “Love and blessings to you all.”
Acting Is No Longer A ‘Priority’ For Him

According to Daily Mail, a source close to the “Mayor of Kingstown” actor divulged that acting is no longer a priority for him after his snow plow accident.
The source shared that they’d been around Renner and said, “although he does still love acting, Hollywood is just not a priority to him anymore.”
According to the source, Renner believes “he survived the accident so that he can use his platform to really create change in the world.”
The insider continued, “He is very proud of the work that he has done, but this entire situation has really shown him that there is so much more that he could be doing to help others.”
Jeremy Renner Will Still Release His Passion Project

As Renner continues his journey to full recovery, he is set to go ahead with the release of his upcoming documentary series on Disney+.
“I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need. But a few years ago, I thought, how can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community? And that’s what this show does,” Renner shared in the show’s press release, per CNN. “This is one of my biggest passions, and it’s a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”
The trailer for his passion project, “Rennervations,” was released earlier in March, showing Renner and a team of expert builders traveling the world searching for decommissioned vehicles that they can revamp to be useful for communities in need.
In the trailer, Renner can be seen alongside his “Avengers” co-star Anthony Mackie at a table together when the “Hawkeye” star jokes that “there’s a lot of concern on the ‘Avengers’ family chat like, what is Renner doing?”
“I hope this demonstrates how easy it is to make a giant difference in other people’s lives,” he said. The series is set to be released on Disney+ on April 12.
