She is a 37 year-old actress, primarily known for her role of Svetlana Fisher in the US version of the highly popular and critically acclaimed television series “Shameless”. Besides this, she is known for “Paranoia” (2013), in which she appeared alongside Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman, “A Leading Man” (2013) and “Condor” (2019). In addition to acting, Goreshter is an assistant director. Her career in the entertainment industry has been active since 2008.

Isidora’s parents, Emil and Dina, and her older brother Eugene relocated to the US from the Soviet Union in the early eighties. After the initial struggle, they were able to find jobs and settle in their new homeland in Long Beach, where Isidora was born. She was named after her maternal grandfather whose name was Izzy, and was called Izzy by her friends and family throughout her childhood. She started performing as early as three years of age.

She also started studying classical ballet at an early age, which made the choice of her vocation all the more easier. Having matriculated from high school, Isidora enrolled at California State University studying theater and art history, and began acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory. Speaking about her early acting experience at the Conservatory, she stated: ‘her (Stella’s) wisdom about the theater and the artist relates to anyone, especially for a young actor trying to find their voice’.
