PALS of Victoria Beckham hit back last night after Rio Ferdinand claimed he had never seen her eat.
Pundit Rio, who played alongside her husband David for both Manchester United and England, started the food fight by talking about seeing her at “squad meals”.

Notoriously fussy eater Posh has previously been scrutinised for her diet, with David admitting she has eaten the same meal of grilled fish and vegetables for the past 25 years.
Rio, 44, joined the debate when quizzed on a radio show in Australia.
Presenter Jackie O said: “I do love Victoria. I’m always obsessed with what she eats. She’s always so picky.”
Rio replied: “I’ve never seen her eat anything.”
Jackie’s co-host Kyle Sandilands asked: “Did you not go to dinners together?”
Rio said: “We used to when we would go with the squads but I don’t remember anything that sticks out in my memory. She was nice, she was always nice.”
He joked that he should not comment on “another player’s wife” saying of his partner Kate: “My wife won’t be happy with that.”
Those close to Victoria, 47, said it was “nonsense” to say she did not eat.

And Rio’s comments about the Spice Girl-turned-fashion designer may not sit well with the Beckhams.
A friend close to the couple added: “Victoria has spoken a lot about what she eats and to say she doesn’t is a load of nonsense.
“Why people are interested in what she eats is bizarre. Victoria has made no secret of the food she enjoys and doesn’t make an issue of it – so why people comment on it is baffling.”
Victoria has shown off her figure in several of her designs including a backless dress, left.
The pics have helped increase speculation over her diet, with even a handful of chefs revealing her orders.
She once admitted: “To most restaurants, I’m probably their worst nightmare.
“I love some steamed vegetables, some balsamic vinegar and then to season myself.”
The mum of four revealed that her favourite comfort food was wholegrain toast and salt.
But she insisted: “I’m not the most exciting eater but I do like to have a drink with my dinner and I can become a very good dinner guest.”
Husband David, 47, spoke about her strict eating regime last year. He said: “Since I met her she only eats grilled fish, steamed vegetables she will very rarely deviate from that.”
