A Queensland service station worker was held at knifepoint while the petrol station she was working at was being robbed, police allege.

A 29-year-old man allegedly threatened the female worker with a knife on March 24, as he took a large chunk of cash and cigarettes before fleeing the service station in Alexandra Hills in a vehicle that was allegedly stolen.

The man was refused bail and is due to appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on March 27.
