March has been a month of heavy strikes, with junior doctors, teachers, civil servants, train staff and London Underground workers all walking out.
London Tube staff went on strike for 24 hours on Budget Day, March 15, in a row over pensions, job losses and contractual agreements.

Are there more Tube strikes in April 2023?
No, there are no more Tube strikes in April or the rest of 2023 right now.
The strike on March 15 was called by the Rail, Marine and Transport union (RMT) who haven’t announced any further walkouts when writing this.
However, it’s possible that more Tube strikes could be called in the capital if the dispute with London Underground Ltd (LUL) continues.
If more are called, Transport for London’s strikes page will be updated. There are currently no more teacher strikes planned in Britain either.
Why did Tube workers strike on March 15?
London Underground workers went on strike for one day after the RMT claimed LUL had started to impose 600 station staff job losses.
They also added that the company had refused to rule out attacks on pensions or ripping up agreements on conditions of work despite discussions with the union.

“TfL has had its funding cut by government. But instead of standing up to ministers, they have tried to implement cuts to make our members pay for their funding crisis,” the union said.
The deadline for the government and TfL to agree the details of the pension reform was pushed back until March 17, but no news has been heard yet.
“Our members will never accept job losses, attacks on their pensions or changes to working conditions in order to pay for a funding cut which is the government’s political decision,” RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said.
He added that Tube workers provide an “essential service to the capital,” make sure the city can keep moving and work long hours in demanding roles.
“In return they deserve decent pensions, job security and good working conditions and RMT will fight and tooth nail to make sure that’s what they get.”
Are there any train strikes in April?
Right now, there is only one train strike planned on Saturday, April 1. The strike will conclude the RMT’s latest round of four days of action on March 16, 18, 30 and April 1.
