Who is Octavian?
Octavian, born Oliver Godji, is a French-British rapper from London.
Born in Lille in 1996, the 27-year-old has an Angolan background.
After the passing of his father, he moved from France to London with his mother at the age of three.
He released his first-ever mixtape 22 in 2016, which was followed by the Essie World EP in 2017.
Octavian shot to fame in 2018, when Drake was seen singing along to a track of his at a Golden Globes after-party in a video posted on Instagram.
He was signed with Sony Records label Black Butter Records and appeared on tracks produced by Diplo, Mura Masa, Take a Daytrip, JRick and A2.
He has collaborated with Skepta, A$AP Ferg and many others.
The rapper dropped a single with Gunna and SAINt JHN in August 2020 and was due to release his debut album Alpha in November of that year.

However, his label pulled the plug after Octavian’s former partner made allegations against him a day before the album was set to drop.
Despite announcing his retirement in 2021, he returned with his debut studio album Alpha in May 2022.
