Arkansas Teen Found Dead in Mississippi National Forest

Four people have been charged with killing an Arkansas high school senior who was found shot to death last week in a national forest in Mississippi.

Fredarrious Wilson, of West Memphis, Arkansas, was reported missing by his family on March 5. A U.S. Forest Service employee found his body in a remote area of the Holly Springs National Forest three days later, as CrimeOnline previously reported. He had been shot multiple times.

Wilson’s phone last pinged in the area of the national forest, and deputies searched the area for about six hours on March 7, returning the next day with more crews from other agencies.

Jay Hale, district attorney for the 17th Circuit Court District in Mississippi, told the North Mississippi Herald on Thursday that Alicia Jackson, 22; Brandon Jackson, 23; Bralin Jackson, 23; and Devin Smith, 27, had been arrested and charged with Wilson’s murder.

“Sheriff [Jerimaine] Gooch and his deputies worked extremely hard and put long hours into this case. I can’t say enough about their work on this case,” Hale said. “The West Memphis Police Department was also a huge help.”

Hale said the investigation was ongoing and that it appeared that Wilson “knew at least one of the suspects.”

Three of the suspects were arrested early Wednesday, Hale said, and the fourth was taken into custody Wednesday afternoon. Bond has been set at $1 million each for the four, who have all been charged with first degree murder.
