Chris Sutton has said on BBC Radio 5 Live (8:11pm, March 13, 2023) that he is worried about potential injuries to Arsenal duo Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
The former Chelsea striker has said that if Saka or Martinelli suffer an injury, then it would seriously affect Arsenal’s chances of winning the Premier League title this season.
England international forward Saka and Brazil international forward Martinelli are two of the best and most important players in the Arsenal team.
Saka, 21, has scored 10 goals and given nine assists in 27 Premier League matches.
The English youngster has also made three starts and four substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League.
Martinelli has scored 12 goals and provided two assists in 26 Premier League starts.
The 21-year-old has made four starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League.

Sutton said: “I have got a worry for Arsenal. It’s the fact that I just wonder on the European front, in Lisbon, he played Saka and started Martinelli.

“We mentioned their goals and their importance of them as Arsenal players. If you get an injury to one of those two, that would put them on the back a little bit.”

HITC Verdict: Stay positive
In our view, Arsenal fans need not worry about any potential injuries to Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli.
Now, of course, Saka and Martinelli are big players for the Gunners, and injury to either or both could be really bad for the team.
However, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has options now, such as Leandro Trossard.
When Thomas Partey was recently on the sidelines, Jorginho stepped in for him and did brilliantly.
Injuries to players can happen anytime.
You just have to be prepared to cope with them.
