Stephen Warnock has slammed the ‘minority’ of Liverpool fans who want FSG out of the club following their actions during their 7-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday at Anfield.
A banner was flown over the stadium which read ‘FSG Out. Klopp in. Enough is Enough’. But Warnock thinks the ‘majority’ of Liverpool fans would disagree with that, as he told Sky Sports.
Under FSG, Liverpool have lifted every trophy possible, including reaching three Champions League finals and winning one against Tottenham in Madrid.

That was probably Jurgen Klopp’s greatest-ever achievement, although, given that he ended the club’s 30-year wait for an English league title, some would point towards that as well.
Nonetheless, FSG have had a mixed relationship with those who cheer on from the stands. Their attempt to enter the European Super League certainly didn’t help matters.
Nonetheless, when talking about Liverpool’s owners FSG, one of their former players had an interesting take on it all.
“I am going to say this now, it’s a minority,” said Warnock. “A very, very small minority of people (are FSG out). A lot of Liverpool fans. I would say the majority of Liverpool fans would not agree with that banner. (FSG Out. Klopp In. Enough Is Enough) that is being flown overhead (Anfield).
“The reason they have a gripe, this minority of people, is that they feel they should be more funds given to Jurgen Klopp to be able to compete against Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, in the spending of the big clubs.
“It’s never been the model of FSG. They are in the process of redeveloping Anfield Rd. They have already redeveloped the main stand, which has taken Liverpool’s commercial ability up to the standards of Manchester United in revenue, so they have actually caught up off the pitch, which is incredible. They do better in shirt sales. They have made the brand a better brand, so that works.

“The side of it, which is interesting, they just think that FSG should go ‘well, there’s £100 million or £200 million. Go and buy these players’. But that’s not sustainable to do. They don’t have the deep line pockets that other teams have. Their model works and it works with Jurgen Klopp.
“To win a Champions League. Be in two Champions League finals, which they have lost. To be in a Europa League final, which they lost. Straight away, you have four major finals and you have won one of them. A Premier League title. League Cup. And an FA Cup. That’s not bad at all.
“When you are competing with Manchester City, who are the benchmark, not in terms of spending. We are talking Premier League titles. They are phenomenal. They have also redeveloped the training ground.”

WILL FSG SELL LIVERPOOL?
There was talk about FSG possibly selling the club. There was talk that the Reds and their bitter rivals, Manchester United, were also up for sale.
Now there is talk that the Glazers at Old Trafford might not sell up, after all.
Sometimes, what is said about these owners in public probably isn’t true behind closed doors.
At the end of the day, every club has its price and it would be interesting to see how FSG would react if somebody put some serious dough on the table for the six-time European champions.
