Arsenal and Tottenham are both interested in signing Elye Wahi as the pair of north Londoners search for attacking reinforcements.
It was Christian Falk of BILD who claimed that Spurs are keen to sign the Frenchman – and even view him as someone who could replace Harry Kane – whereas Foot Mercato stated that Arsenal want the Montpellier wonderkid.
Now, Wahi has scored a goal which will have surely caught the eye of Arsenal and Tottenham.
What’s the story?
Well, the 20-year-old scored his ninth goal of the season on Sunday as Montpellier thrashed Angers SCO 5-0 in Ligue 1, and what a strike it was.
Wahi channeled his inner Ronaldo to run 50 yards, taking on three Angers SCO defenders with the ball seemingly glued to his feet, before smashing a perfect finish into the bottom right corner on his left foot.
The running style, silky dribbling and emphatic finishing is eerily reminiscent of the Brazilian Ronaldo – you can certainly understand why Arsenal and Tottenham are taking an interest in this sensational talent.

Wahi should choose Arsenal over Tottenham
If we were in Wahi’s shoes, a move to Arsenal would appeal to us ahead of Tottenham.
Spurs are in a very uncertain position at the moment, with the Daily Mail claiming that those inside Tottenham expect Antonio Conte to leave this summer, while Champions League qualification is far from certain.
Contrastingly, Arsenal look set to win the Premier League, and are guaranteed a place in the Champions League next season.

Mikel Arteta has also proven himself to be a fine coach when it comes to developing young attacking talent, such as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, so Wahi would have a great chance of fulfilling his potential under the Spaniard.
Keep an eye on this situation over the summer, as the French sensation could soon be leaving Montpellier.
