Hayden Panettiere returns to Scream

Hayden Panettiere, who starred in the 2011 Scream film as Kirby, is reprising her role.

On Monday, March 6, Panettiere told Good Morning America: “When [Scream] popped up and came back around, I was like, ‘I want to be a part of that again,’ because I hoped that Kirby was still alive.”

Also starring in Scream VI is Jenna Ortega, of Wednesday fame, and Melissa Barrera from In The Heights. The two actresses are playing sisters Tara and Sam Carpenter.

The Carpenter sisters, who appeared in the last film, have left Woodsboro behind and are starting a new chapter of their lives in New York City. As expected, Ghostface makes a terrifying reappearance.
