Gary Neville thinks Tottenham Hotspur transfer target David Raya of Brentford ‘would interest’ Manchester United in the summer, as he told the Overlap.
Both Tottenham and Manchester United are expected to be on the lookout for new keepers when the summer transfer window opens.
Their long-serving shot-stoppers – Hugo Lloris and David de Gea – are coming to the end of their careers, although, the former is struggling more than Man United’s number one.

Whilst de Gea struggled early in the season when Erik ten Hag first came in, he has become more steady now, but the same can’t be said for the 2018 World Cup-winning star in north London.
It has been another error-prone season for the currently injured Lloris, that’s why there has been talk about a new keeper coming into the building and Brentford’s £20 million star David Raya getting a mention.
But Gary Neville feels that Spurs might face competition for the 27-year-old because he could head to Old Trafford instead.
“Going back to Manchester United and a goalkeeper,” said Neville. “I went to watch Brentford on a Saturday a couple of weeks ago, of course, I have watched a lot of them since.

“What do you think of the Brentford goalkeeper, Raya? (Neville asks Shay Given) because I think he is going to become available. He only has a year left. I think he could step up. I think Raya will interest Manchester United.”

RAYA WOULD BE A TOP PURCHASE
It’s probably the right time for Raya to leave Brentford, step up a level and start to play Champions League football.
Plus, come the summer, he will only have 12 months remaining on his contract and it doesn’t seem like he is going to extend his stay with Thomas Frank’s men.
Whether it’s Old Trafford or Hotspur Way, the rising Spain international would be a top purchase for either club, especially given his ability to play out from the back.
But Man United would be the wiser move given the direction they are heading and the fact that they have just won another major trophy.
