According to a report by Italian outlet Inter Live, Jurgen Klopp is attracted by the prospect of signing Lautaro Martinez for Liverpool.
The £187,000-a-week man recently got slated by the Italian press for his disappointing display for Inter Milan in 1-0 win against Porto in the Champions League. However, there is no doubting that the Argentine is one of the best strikers in Europe, and has been for a number of years.
Now, it seems as if Jurgen Klopp is keen for Liverpool to bring in Lautaro Martinez through the door in the summer, who Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is reportedly a huge admirer of.

Darwin Nunez has struggled in his debut campaign at Anfield, with former Reds goalscorer Michael Owen going as far as to say that he does not look like he has been properly coached.
Inter Live have reported that the ‘absolutely brilliant’ Lautaro Martinez is ‘highly esteemed’ by Jurgen Klopp, who could be on his radar as Liverpool look to reinforce their attack in the summer.

While discussing why Arsenal would be favourites to sign Lautaro Martinez would be pointing out the obvious, it is not a particularly positive sign for Darwin Nunez if Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp are pushing to sign him.
Considering the club have much bigger priorities in the middle of the park as well as in central defence, if the German boss has his sights firmly set on a brand-new frontman, that could indicate that he feels the Uruguayan international is not cutting the mustard.
During the remainder of the season, the ex-Benfica No.9 must ensure that even if the former River Plate man comes to Anfield, his starting place is not in danger.
