When will Tokyo Revengers season 2 episode 8 release worldwide, and what brutal fights can fans expect to go down in ‘Strive Together’?
Tokyo Revengers season 2 may not have experienced the outstanding success that the first season had in 2021, but that doesn’t mean the anime is any less hard-hitting.
On the contrary, some of the punches and kicks that poor Mitsuya and Takemichi had to deal with last week would have sent viewers to the floor, even through the TV screen. Now, it’s up to Takemichi to ultimately defeat Taiju and save Hakkai’s soul, even with the addition of the two Black Dragon captains to the fight.
Here is everything that fans need to know about Tokyo Revengers season 2 episode 8, including the release date, time, and synopsis – as well as a quick recap of last week’s chapter.

A quick recap of season 2 episode 7 ‘Sibling Rivalry’
The episode opened with Taiju trying to kill Yuzuha, only for Takemichi to get in his way whilst begging Hakkai to take up the fight against his older brother. In the process, Takemichi pieces the puzzle together; Hakkai took the fall for Yuzuha in the original timeline, and was then manipulated by Kisaki to take over Black Dragon.
Yuzuha grabs the knife and tries to stab Taiju again, only for Mitsuya to appear out of nowhere – he grabs the blade from her and says that since the truce is now broken, Taiju will have to fight him instead.
Mitsuya fights hard, but Taiju is far too powerful for him to do any meaningful damage with his attacks. He is even knocked to the ground temporarily, but continues to fight on with Chifuyu acknowledging to the still absent-minded Hakkai that he is just being stubborn.
Taiju is getting tired from the fight and says that it’s now time to end things…Inui appears behind them and hits Mitsuya in the head with a metal pole; sending him flying across the church floor.
The remaining Toman members devise a plan for Chifuyu and Takemichi to fight the henchmen, whilst Mitsuya and Hakkai attempt to take down Taiju. Whilst Mitsuya rushes towards Taiju…Hakkai stands still in fear; Mitsuya is subsequently knocked unconscious because of his solo charge.
Hakkai then picks up the knife and charges Taiju, only to be stopped by Takemichi saying that this isn’t the way to win and that he will become hopeless scum if he murders Taiju here. Takemichi steps up to Taiju and is brutally beaten into a bloody pulp. Courageously or stupidly, Takemichi then defies all expectations by claiming that he will now defeat Taiju and take over Black Dragon.
