Twelve people have been evicted from last night’s A-League derby between Melbourne Victory and Melbourne City.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said they were “generally pleased” with the crowd at the match.

However, 12 people were evicted by police in relation to inappropriate or offensive behaviour and one man was arrested for being drunk.

It comes as a video circulating on social media shows a man being dragged out of stands by police while spectators were throwing drinks on them.

Victory finished in front, winning 3-2 over Melbourne City.
