The loss of Wiggle legend, DJ and producer Nathan Coles this week has rocked the dance music community in the UK and around the world after his untimely passing on Sunday February 12 at the age of 52.
I interviewed Nathan for The Sun back in 2014 as his pioneering Wiggle parties and record label which he ran alongside Terry Francis and Eddie Richards marked Wiggle’s milestone 20th anniversary. It was a pleasure getting to know him and to work on a bit of music with one of my heroes.
As we mourn his loss and remember Nathan’s talent both as a DJ and a producer, and with the kind permission of Nathan’s loved ones, it’s my pleasure to re-share this mix Nathan gave me to accompany the interview celebrating 20 years of Wiggle almost ten years ago.

Nathan’s contribution to dance music as one of the originators of tech house (before it became a dirty word) is insurmountable. Infectious, naughty music was always the order of the day and Nathan was always at the centre of the party.

I was lucky to enjoy Nathan’s company, warmth and creativity on numerous occasions playing alongside him at Saytek and my Cubism parties. We also had the privilege of releasing two remixes on our label crafted by Nathan and his long time production partner David Coker which we will always treasure.
Nathan was an inspiration to us and to so many people in dance music and he will forever continue to be. The handful of times I spent with him I will never forget. He was a lovely man, amazing company and the ultimate party starter. As one of the pioneers of the music we love, his legacy will live on and be with us forever.
Our hearts go out to his family and friends.
We hope you enjoy this mix and remember the good times with Nathan Coles and his megawatt smile.
