It was actually during his college days that Christ started building his career; he became a part of Rocky Mountain News, covering high school sports from 1982 to 1984, while from 1983 to 1985, Chris was a co-host and producer of a weekly magazine program aired on a cable television system in Boulder, Colorado, and furthermore was also a part of KAIR-AM, the university’s radio station. Subsequently, before joining ESPN, Chris was at KCNC-TV and KMGH-TV. In 1986 he felt the first rays of success as he was recruited by ESPN as the host/reporter of “Scholastic Sports America”. This lasted for the next two years, then being promoted to become a college football sideline reporter.

Rise to Prominence
After four years with the network, Chris got a shot a stardom, when he was named as the host of the College Game Day football road show, which only a year later was expanded to ESPN’s other Saturday college football segments. He served in the position until 2014, during which time he became a star reporter for ESPN, becoming extremely popular thanks to his great work, and was then given several new roles on the Network. He subsequently served as the lead studio host of “College Basketball on ESPN”, and also hosted Summer X Games from 1995 to 2000, additionally becoming the head anchor for tennis Grand Slam tournaments, from 2009 until the present.
