Mark Horne, 32, was arrested last Wednesday after he was found hiding out on a luxury yacht in Darwin, bringing an end to months spent on the run.
He was on bail on a charge of shooting a truck driver during a 2020 robbery at Lithgow when he allegedly went on the run in October, sparking a nationwide manhunt.
The 32-year-old allegedly left his Arncliffe home and cut off his ankle bracelet in an Uber at Riverwood before chartering a plane from Bankstown airport to Queensland.
While awaiting trial, Horne had surrendered his passport as a condition of bail but police at the time believed he was planning on fleeing overseas.
He will face trial later today.

Last week, a series of images were released depicting the dramatic moment the alleged bikie was discovered by police — clutching a vape — in the hull of the Sy Lady Azzura as it sailed out of Cullen Bay Marina in Darwin.
“The team found the man hiding in the hull of the vessel,” NT Police Commander Matt Hollamby said.
”We thought this was a little bit suspicious and it turned out it was who we thought it was.”
