Inside Molly-Mae’s £30k birth at top royal hospital and recovery at home with her mum

SHE is considered reality TV royalty and is one half of the showbiz world’s top power couples, so it’s no surprise that Molly-Mae Hague had a birth fit for a princess.

The 23-year-old checked into the prestige Portland Hospital in London, which can set new mums back £30,000 as they enjoy champagne, lobster and five star service.

Molly announced last that she and Tommy Fury became parents on January 23rd and had been enjoying their first week with their baby.

The American-run hospital is known for its A-list patients, including Liz Hurley, Dani Dyer, the Duchess of York, and of course Meghan Markle when she had Archie.

Molly was joined by partner Tommy throughout her birth and is now spending time at her mum Debbie Gordon down south while she settles into mum life.

An insider said: “Money was no object for Molly and Tommy when it came to deciding where to give birth.

“The couple wanted the very best for their daughter and they definitely got that.

“Tommy has already been back to work, so Molly has turned to her own mum for support. They haven’t headed back to Manchester yet and have set up round the clock security to protect their £3.5 million home while they are away.”

The Portland Hospital offers five-star hotel service for new mums, with 36 private rooms as well as a nursery.

The pricier suites cost upwards of £2000 per night and feature a separate lounge area and en-suite.

Then there’s the 24-hour room service, luxurious Molton Brown toiletries and suites for family and visitors.

Once the new baby has arrived, new mums can enjoy a “celebration meal” including afternoon tea, lobster, oysters, foie gras and champagne – delivered on luxurious silver platters.

While the cheapest “birthing package” costs around £15,000, it’s reported that some mums spend an eye-watering £50,000 – depending on the number of nights they stay and other services they require.

The hospital also offers exclusive nursery furniture from the brand, Dragons of Walton Street, who provide a range of baby cots, including £3.5k Moses baskets decorated with lace and hand-cut glass crystals, and a four-poster Little Duchess cot, which would set you back £14k.
