Hailing from San Juan, Puerto Rico, Jackie received her primary and secondary education there. As she stated, her mother was abused by her father, thus she and her sister had to find shelter alongside their mother at the “Casa Protegida Julia de Burgos”, located in their hometown. Having matriculated from high school, the journalist moved to The Bronx, New York City.
Rise to Fame
Prior to rising to fame, Guerrido had plenty of minor jobs in small stations. She was ultimately offered a position on WSKQ’s morning show and at WRMA, in Miami., which ishwere she moved to, working for HBC Radio Company on the show entitled “Romance” for a year. Later on, Jackie was signed to have her own music show at WRTO, and also worked for WSCV as a traffic reporter. However, she had her breakthrough when she began working on the Univision network as a meteorologist, and as of 2004, she became the Good Will Ambassador of the Puerto Rican Day Parade, in New York City.
Jackie made her debut in acting in 1994, joining the cast of “Primer impacto: Edición Nocturna” and afterwards began working on “¡Despierta América!”, followed by working on projects such as “Noche de Estrellas: Premio lo Nuestro 2004”, “Escándalo TV de noche” and “Noche de estrellas: Premios Juventud 2004”, all in 2004. Continuing to work at a steady pace, she joined the cast of “Don Francisco Presenta” in the following year, and also went on to appear in several other episodes of that series. As of 2013, Guerrido began appearing on “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson”, remaining there over the course of a year.
