A Texas father is facing capital murder charges for allegedly stabbing his nine-year-old son to death, police said.
The boy was found “unconscious and bleeding” Friday afternoon at the family’s home in the Dallas suburb of McKinney, said police, who responded to a call that a woman had found her gravely injured child.
Officers arrived at the scene and forced their way into the home, where they found the woman’s husband harming himself with a knife.

The man’s son was found with multiple stab wounds in the garage and pronounced dead at the scene.
The father was taken to a hospital for medical treatment.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to a McKinney family who experienced a tragic death of a 9-year-old boy today with this family tonight,” police said.
