Tragically, she died on December 29, 2022, at the age of 81, leaving behind her beloved husband, Andreas Kronthaler, and now fans want to know all about him.

Who is Vivienne Westwood’s husband Andreas Kronthaler?
After Vivienne Westwood divorced Derek Westwood in 1965, many thought she would never marry again.
However, that all changed after she met Andreas Kronthaler while teaching at the Vienna School of Applied Art in 1988.
Like Westwood, Kronthaler is also a designer who hails from Tyrol, Austria.
Five years after meeting, the pair tied the knot, despite a 25-year age gap.
Over the years, Kronthaler has spoken highly of his late wife and even revealed in 2019 what kept their marriage strong.
“Don’t expect anything from your other side, from your partner, your wife or husband. Because then you’re both free to be,” he explained during an interview with the Evening Standard.
“…She never cared if I got pissed or went out. She wouldn’t even ask; she was never interested in these things, control. It was total freedom. Maybe it was because she knew that I would come home and end up beside her. Perhaps I always just gave her this security, as well. You know, it’s always a giving and taking, taking and giving.”

Westwood has been in the spotlight for decades and quickly rose to fame after she
made clothes for Malcolm McLaren’s boutique on King’s Road, which became famous as “SEX.”

Tragically, she died on December 29, surrounded by her family.
“Vivienne Westwood died today, peacefully and surrounded by her family, in Clapham, South London,” her brand said in a social media statement.
“Vivienne continued to do the things she loved, up until the last moment, designing, working on her art, writing her book, and changing the world for the better.
“She led an amazing life. Her innovation and impact over the last 6 years has been immense and will continue into the future.”
Kronthaler later released his own statement, saying: “I will continue with Vivienne in my heart.
“We have been working until the end and she has given me plenty of things to get on with. Thank you darling.”
Despite Westwood’s death being confirmed, the exact cause was not disclosed.

Did Vivienne Westwood have kids?
Along with leaving behind her beloved husband Westwood also left behind her two children.
During his first marriage, she welcomed son Ben Westwood, who is known today as a photographer of erotica. She then welcomed Joseph Corré, who is known as the founder of Agent Provocateur, with Malcolm McLaren in 1967.
Despite being married for several decades, Westwood and Kronthaler never had any kids together.
