1. Lata Mangeshkar
Lata Mangeshkar, an Indian playback vocalist and songwriter, worked in the film industry. She is considered as one of India’s most talented and important vocalists. Over the course of a seven-decade career, she has contributed to the Indian music business, earning the titles Queen of Melody and Nightingale of India. On February 6, 2022, Mangeshkar, who was 92 years old, fell suddenly from multiple organ failure syndromes.
2. Bappi Lahiri
Bappi Aparesh Lahiri, an Indian singer, composer, and record producer, was most popularly known by his stage name, Bappi Da. He performed some of his original songs and helped synthesised disco become more well known in the Indian music industry. His movie soundtracks helped him become well-known in the 1980s and 1990s. Additionally, he appeared in popular Bengali, Telugu, and Kannada movies. On February 15, 2022, in Mumbai, Bappi Lahiri, 69, passed away from obstructive sleep apnea.
3. Pandit Birju Maharaj
Pandit Birju Maharaj, an Indian Kathak dancer, composer, and singer, was a member of the Lucknow “Kalka-Bindadin” Gharana. He also performed Hindustani classical music as a singer. Before starting his own dancing school, Kalashram, also in Delhi, Birju Maharaj managed the latter for a number of years up until his retirement in 1998. He died of a heart attack on January 16, 2022, one day before he turned 85, at his home in Delhi. One of the most well-known Indians to die in 2022 was him.
4. KK
In India, playback singer KK, also known as Krishnakumar Kunnath, was well-known. He sung in a variety of languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese, and Gujarati. On May 31, 2022, as a part of the Gurudas College festival, KK gave a live performance at the Nazrul Mancha auditorium in South Kolkata. He complained of being ill and then had a heart attack. He passed out, and attempts to revive him at the hotel were futile. He was taken to the Calcutta Medical Research Institute, where he was pronounced dead.
5. Sidhu Moosewala
The contributions Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu made to Punjabi music and film are what made him famous as an Indian singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor. He also went by the stage names Sidhu Moose Wala. He is also credited with making it possible for Punjabi vocalists to get into the mainstream of music. He first began penning songs for other musicians, such as Ninja, and then joined Ninja in the duet “G Wagon.” On May 29, 2022, unidentified assailants shot and killed Moose Wala inside his automobile in Jawaharke village, Mansa district.

6.Tunisha Sharma
Ali Baba Dastaan-E-Kabul actress Tunisha Sharma, who played Shehzaadi Mariam, committed suicide. On December 24, the actress reportedly hanged herself on the sets of their TV show in the makeup area of her co-star Sheezan Khan. Sheezan Khan has been accused of aiding in Tunisha’s suicide in a complaint Tunisha’s mother filed against him. He has been in police custody for four days and is being checked out. His sisters have also issued a statement claiming that their brother is aiding law enforcement. On December 27, Tunisha will be cremated.
7. Deepesh Bhan
The iconic television programme Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain’s actor, Deepesh Bhan alias Malkhan, passed away on July 23, 2022. The 41-year-old actor passed away from a heart arrest. His wife and their young son are the only ones left. Many of his friends and co-stars were shocked by his passing.
8. Vaishali Takkar
On October 16, 2022, Vaishali Takkar, who gained fame from the television programmes Sasural Simar Ka and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata, was discovered hanged in her Indore apartment. The actress, 30, committed suicide and left a letter. She blamed her neighbour Rahul Navlani and his wife for her death in her suicide note. The actress claimed that the husband-and-wife team had tortured her emotionally.
9. Raju Srivastava
The well-known comedian passed away on September 21 after spending more than 40 days in the hospital. The actor passed out at a gym on August 10 and was taken to the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. His 43-day hospital stay and the millions of people who loved him were crushed by his passing. His wife Shikha and their two children are left behind.
10. Sonali Phogat
A politician and Bigg Boss 14 competitor named Sonali Phogat passed away on August 23, 2022, at the age of 41. The BJP official travelled to Goa to shoot a scene. According to the police inquiry, the actress’s supposed boyfriend killed her. The untimely death of the actress left everyone in shock.
