As Aussies put the final touches on their Christmas preparations, Sydney Fish Markets is gearing up for a mammoth 36-hour seafood marathon.

More than 100,000 people are expected to roll through the doors today to stock up on prawns, oysters and fresh fish.

This year, there are special deals on prawns because of the unprecedented amount of wet weather the country has experienced, starting at $30 per kilo depending on size.
