During this period of her career, Nancy covered a vast number of major and sometimes dangerous stories including the 2000 US Presidential Election, the September 11th attacks in 2001, as well as the Beltway sniper attacks in the D.C. area, and the United Nations Mission in Bosnia in 2002.
Between 2003 and 2004, Cordes served as correspondent for an online news website and the ABC News’ affiliated online service NewsOne, covering the entire Washington D.C. area.
