After honing her skills as a reporter over the course of the next two years, then after earning a master of education, in 1999 she relocated to Washington D.C. where she began her four-year-long tenure as a reporter for the ABC’s affiliated television station WJLA-TV. During this period of her career, Nancy covered a vast number of major and sometimes dangerous stories including the 2000 US Presidential Election, the September 11th attacks in 2001, as well as the Beltway sniper attacks in the D.C. area, and the United Nations Mission in Bosnia in 2002.
