Pixie Lott has recorded a secret new album and reveals surprising new sound

SHE first broke onto the scene in 2009 with her debut single Mama Do.

Since then the music industry has changed beyond measure – with streaming taking over the charts and social media taking on a life of its own.

But Pixie Lott has told The Sun she’s never felt more ready to return to music – almost a decade after releasing her self-titled third album in 2014.

Chatting exclusively to Bizarre, The Voice Kids coach confirmed the secret record is all but finished – having played a number of tracks to her co-star Danny Jones from McFly during filming of the ITV show earlier this year.

Pixie said: “I am really excited to put out some new music next year.

It’s an album. Dates always change but it’s definitely next year.

“It’s going to be singles first and then an album at the end of the spring or early summer.”

Going into detail about the record, she added: “It has more of a live music vibe and it is not as dance pop as before.

“I have been so excited to make this album and it’s taken me four years. It is a live sounding album.

“I am so excited to be able to sing the songs live. I was actually playing them backstage and in the chair asking Danny what he thought in-between acts.”

Pixie has been a staple on The Voice Kids since joining the pint-size spin-off of The Voice in 2017.

This year she and Danny will be joined by WILL.I.AM and Ronan Keating when the series kicks off on Boxing Day.

Throughout her decade spanning career, Pixie has bagged herself three UK number ones and 11 UK Top 40 singles.

Meanwhile, all three of her albums have charted within the Top 20.

Earlier this summer she finally tied the knot with her model partner of 12 years Oliver Cheshire in a lavish ceremony at Ely Cathedral.

“It was as smooth-running as it can be,” she previously said of the big day.

“There’s always so much planning that goes into a day like that

” But when it comes to the actual day you can’t really think about all hat stuff, you’ve got to be in the moment. Well, that’s the advice I always got given.”
