He was so passionate about writing about India on 4th December 2022 his wife Dominique Conchon-Lapierre announced his death. Lapierre wrote 6 books in collaboration with popular American writer Larry Collins and has sold almost 50 million copies of them. The most famous book “Is Paris Burning?” which was published in 1965 in that book he mentioned about 1944 World War 2 when Nazi Germany surrendered control of the french capital.
