An Adelaide man has died in a workplace accident after he reportedly became trapped between a truck and a trailer.

Emergency crews rushed to a business on White Road in Gepps Cross just before 6.30am but the 57-year-old Craigmore man died at the scene.

Laurie Caporella, who owns a carpet shop across the road, told 9News he was shocked by the unfolding incident.

“It’s unusual because traffic flows pretty well here so we’ve never seen an accident,” Caporella said.

Safework SA will attend to investigate, but police say there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

A report is being prepared for the coroner.
