Olympic athlete Katie Archibald recalled trying her absolute best to save her partner, Rab Wardell, as he passed away from a deadly heart attack while lying beside her in bed.
After mountain biker Wardell, 37, passed away on Tuesday morning, the world champion cyclist shared her grief.
He died unexpectedly two days after winning the Scottish MTB XC Championships in Dumfries and Galloway. Meanwhile, on Wednesday morning, Archibald, 28, posted an impassioned statement on social media.
Her post read: “You may have heard that Rab passed away early yesterday. I’m still confused about what happened, whether this is real, and why he would be taken now when he was so healthy and happy.”
“We were laying in bed when he suffered a heart arrest. The paramedics arrived after I kept trying, but they could not revive him when his heart stopped.
Katie Archibald Hair Loss: Does She Have Alopecia?
Although there are no confirmed cases of Katie having alopecia, one of her colleagues is reported to have had the condition since age 10.
Olympic gold medalist Joanna Rowsell Shand revealed in 2016 that she was ten years old when she received her alopecia diagnosis.
According to the Daily Mail, the athlete who suffers from the hair loss condition alopecia received a confidence-boosting response to her wig.
Basically, Alopecia is a type of hair loss that occurs when your immune system erroneously assaults the hair follicles, where hair development begins. However, experts are unsure of why the immune system targets the follicles.
Moreover, hair may regrow over several months in one region but fall out in another because hair loss frequently occurs.
