A man and a woman have been arrested in Adelaide after a pregnant woman was left trapped at the wheel of her car this afternoon when an allegedly stolen car plowed into her.

The white Toyota Camry collided with the pregnant woman’s Mazda at an intersection with Lower North East Road in Highbury, sending both cars hurtling into a third vehicle.

“That white car came flying over the verge, airborne on its side, and hit that car,” a witness said.

It’s alleged the drivers of the stolen vehicle fled the scene. (Nine)

Witnesses rushed to help the woman who called her husband — who was isolating with COVID-19 — for assistance.

The woman’s husband called his father as emergency services arrived on scene.
