New South Wales man’s family birthdays and special dates made him $5 million richer when he won the Lotto on the weekend.
The lucky winner, from Kempsey on the state’s Mid North Coast, was about to check his Saturday Lotto ticket yesterday when he answered a call from lottery officials confirming he was now a multi-millionaire.
“I can’t believe I’ve pulled it off! Every time there’s a big draw, I grab a ticket and use family birth dates and special numbers,” he said.
“I’m over the moon.”
He was one of four division one winners who each pocketed $5 million, and says he plans to pay off the mortgage on his home and take his family on a holiday to Greece.
