Nine’s flagship current affairs show 60 Minutes has scooped a host of honours at the annual Kennedy Awards.

Nick McKenzie took the top award of the evening, winning Journalist of the Year for his work across The Sydney Morning Herald (SMH), The Age and 60 Minutes.

And 60 Minutes, along with The Age, SMH and Australian Financial Review (AFR) also took the award for Outstanding Investigative Reporting for the Building Bad series.

Out of Order, another cross-Nine network series which saw the SMH, 60 Minutes and Good Food team up, took the award for Long Form Outstanding Television Current Affairs Reporting.

Kirsty Thompson, Executive Producer of 60 Minutes and Head of Long Form at Nine, was named Outstanding Team Player or Mentor, along with Kathryn Wicks at the SMH.

Steve Marshall, Danielle Post and Ben Lynch won the Outstanding Nightly Television Current Affairs Reporting award for Exposing Government Corruption.

And Lauren Tomasi took the award for Outstanding Television News Reporting for her coverage of the immigration protests in Los Angeles.
