A manhunt is underway for two hooded arsonists after a home was firebombed in Sydney’s west.

Emergency crews were called to a home on Hope Street in Penrith after a home was set alight at 10pm yesterday.

CCTV footage shows two hooded men making their way around the brick home, throwing accelerant, believed to be petrol, onto the house.

They can then be seen lighting it up, with one man appearing to have burnt himself in the process.

The men then fled the scene. 

Fire and Rescue found the house as it had started to ignite; only the front door was damaged and nobody was injured.

Police are asking for public assistance to find the two people involved.
