Cheryl Hines is standing by her man.
In a new interview, the Curb Your Enthusiasm star refused to distance herself from her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has made waves due to his anti-vaccine stance, comments about autism, and other controversial beliefs. She also had some choice words for some of RFK Jr.’s famous family members, who’ve been outspoken in their criticism of the new Secretary of Health and Human Services.

In her conversation with WSJ. Magazine, Hines, 59, seemed baffled that some members of the Kennedy family had turned on one of their own.
The actor, who has also appeared in shows like The Flight Attendant and Suburgatory, said she felt that John F. Kennedy’s daughter Caroline Kennedy used deliberately provocative language in a letter she wrote to senators urging them not to vote to confirm her cousin. Caroline accused RFK Jr. of being a “predator” who took advantage of the “desperation of parents of sick children.” She also said that as a college student he proudly showed off dropping baby chickens and mice into a blender to feed to his hawks.
“Her comments did make me angry,” Hines said. “I didn’t understand why she called him a predator—that didn’t make sense to me, but [she] clearly wanted to use a word that would strike people.”
“And then to talk about him feeding his birds when he was 18 just seemed bizarre to me,” Hines continued. “I was surprised because we never see her or talk to her.”
‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ star calls out Jack Schlossberg
Hines also called out Caroline Kennedy’s son, Jack Schlossberg, who has been vocal in his opposition to RFK Jr.’s agenda.
Schlossberg regularly targets both RFK Jr. and Hines on his social media. “Congrats!!!! Most measles cases in 33 years,” he wrote over a photo of Hines he shared on Instagram in July. “Couldn’t have done it without you bae,” he captioned the post. (In her WSJ interview, Hines echoed her husband’s anti-vaccine stance by suggesting that the science about vaccines wasn’t fully “settled.”)
In a March video shared on Instagram, he also directly addressed Hines.
“Hey Cheryl Hines, it’s Jack Schlossberg, I just got out of the shower,” he said. “We’ve never met, but I’ve got a favor to ask. I need you to call up the family of the child who died of measles, and say sorry. Can you do that for me, babe?” (Three unvaccinated Texas children have died of measles this year.)
Hines suggested that Schlossberg was just seeking attention with his social media posts.
“Her son’s behavior—I don’t even want to say anything, because anything I say, he’s going to think, he’s going to be, umm, excited that someone’s talking about him,” she said. “I don’t understand what’s going on with him.”
