Kristi Noem finally broke her silence about South Park‘s brutal depiction of her as a dog-shooting ICE agent leading raids in heaven. While she said South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have every right to criticize her job as secretary of Department of Homeland Security, taking shots at her appearance was a “petty” move.
South Park pulled no punches in its parody of Noem during this week’s episode. The episode, titled “Got A Nut,” featured a running gag of her shooting several dogs in reference to her revealing in her memoir that she once shot and killed her “untrainable” dog. As Noem leads Mr. Mackey and the Immigration and Customs Enforcement through ruthless raids to round up immigrants at a Dora the Explorer concert and in heaven, there are several points where her glam team have to reattach her melting face.
Noem addressed the episode during an appearance on The Glenn Beck Program Thursday.
Glenn Beck told Noem, “Welcome to the club,” noting that he and his son have similarly been spoofed on the Comedy Central series and they “both laughed over it.”
Noem admitted that she “didn’t get to see” the episode yet, but she clearly took issue with how the episode ridiculed her appearance. She notably made no mention of the show depicting her shooting dogs.
“It never ends, but it’s so lazy to make fun of women for how they look,” she complained. “Only the liberals and the extremists do that,”
“If they want to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly they can’t. They just picked something petty like that,” she continued.
Vice President J.D. Vance, who was also parodied in this week’s episode, celebrated his appearance. “Well, I’ve finally made it,” he wrote on X. The episode depicts him as President Trump’s servant who is ordered to rub oil on Satan’s butt.
South Park has been relentless in its jabs against President Trump and his cabinet. Season 27 kicked off with an unbelievable episode that poked fun at President Trump’s appearance and depicted him having an affair with Satan.
The White House has openly condemned the Comedy Central series for its attacks on President Trump.
“This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention,” the White House’s statement said, per USA Today. “President Trump has delivered on more promises in just six months than any other president in our country’s history — and no fourth-rate show can derail President Trump’s hot streak.”
New episodes of South Park air at 10/9c on Comedy Central. New episodes stream next day on Paramount+.
