Girl, 16, seriously injured in South Loop stabbing: CPD

Chicago police said a 16-year-old girl was stabbed and seriously injured in the South Loop Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

CHICAGO (WLS) — A 16-year-old girl was stabbed and seriously injured in the South Loop Tuesday night, Chicago police said.

The stabbing took place at about 9:50 p.m. in the 1100-block of South State Street.

Police said the girl was in a verbal altercation with a suspect when she was stabbed multiple times.

The girl was transported to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she was listed in serious condition.

No one is in custody and Area Three detectives are investigating.
