Georgia Man Offers Son’s Babysitter $2,000 to Sleep With Him

A Georgia man was arrested in Florida this week after he offered his son’s 15-year-old babysitter $2,000 to spend the night with him.

According to City of Miami Police, Lester Tellez, 45, arrived unexpectedly at his ex’s apartment Monday and took his son, who was being watched by the the ex’s sister, shopping,  WFOR reported. He returned a short time later and then called the babysitter and offered her the money to spend the night with him.

The babysitter told him not to speak with her like that and hung up on him, but he later sent her a message via WhatsAPP saying “2000 for us to to spend the whole night,” according to a police report, WFLA reported.

The teen and her sister called police, who texted Tellez while pretending to be the girl.

“You know I am only about to turn 16,” detectives told him.

“Don’t tell me you have not masturbated,” he replied.

“That’s all you want for the $2000?” the detectives wrote back. He replied, “Let’s make love” and said he had a vasectomy and would wear a condom.”

Then, investigators said, he went into graphic detail about what he wanted to do with the girl, telling her he was at a hospital with his dying grandmother. He even sent GPS coordinates and photo of an elderly woman in a hospital bed.

“Why don’t we do this?” Tellez texted the detectives. “Do you have Chase or something where I can send you money until I come back and you send me naked photos or videos of you.”

The detectives tracked Tellez down and arrested him.

Tellez told them he didn’t send any of the texts and that a friend had borrowed his phone for the day.

When detectives showed him the texts, he admitted offering the teen $2,000 and said he didn’t actually have the money.

He was charged with lewd and lascivious conduct and promoting sexual performance by a child.

Tellez was released on bond on Wednesday, according to WFOR.
