Passengers face a 21-hour delay after an aerobridge crashed into an plane at Sydney Airport.

The aerobridge hit the engine of a Qantas Airbus A380 this morning, the airline has confirmed.

The plane was heading to Johannesburg on QF63.

Nobody was injured, but passengers had to get off the plane.

They won’t be able to fly until 6.45am on Sunday because they have to wait for another aircraft.

Qantas said it is investigating and apologised to customers, who it said will be given accommodation and transport.

“The aircraft will be inspected by engineers in Sydney and repaired before returning to service,” the airline said.
