It was all happening — and she stayed silent.
Scheana Shay seemingly explained why she kept her husband Brock Davies’ affair a secret for years, days before revealing the betrayal.
The “Good as Gold” singer, 40, spoke cryptically about “the biggest shock” in her upcoming memoir during Friday’s “Scheananigans With Scheana Shay” podcast episode.
“There are some things that I haven’t been as forthcoming about, maybe that I never corrected the narrative on or never shared my side of the story,” the “Vanderpump Rules” alum told listeners.
Shay explained that she was “afraid” to come clean about something due to the “perception” that she makes everything about her.
“I’ve thought, ‘If I tell people what I’m actually going through, then they’re gonna think i’m trying to take the attention off what someone else is going through,’” the reality star explained.
Notably, Shay found out in 2023 that Davies, 35, cheated on her while she was pregnant with their now-4-year-old daughter, Summer.
His confession came on the heels of Tom Sandoval’s months-long affair with his and then-girlfriend Ariana Madix’s friend Raquel Leviss coming to light.
Without mentioning the scandal, Shay noted, “I think that perception of me [being self-involved] is what has held me back at times from opening up in the show or on the podcast.”
She noted that while “people they know everything about [her],” that is “100 percent” not true.
Shay reposted the podcast clip to her Instagram account on Tuesday, and one of her followers made the connection to Davies’ secret two days later.
“Just read [the ‘My Good Side’] excerpt and I’m really sorry you experienced that and I totally understand why you didn’t share at that time,” the social media user wrote. “the fanbase for SURE would have said you were making it about you. Thanks for being vulnerable and sharing it now. Excited to read your book.”
Another fan simply wrote, “The Brock thing😱😱.”
Davies opened up to Shay about his affair — which was with a woman from his past that he reconnected with at a F45 gym — after their August 2022 wedding.
The couple got engaged one year prior to their nuptials and have been together since 2019, with Davies joining the show in Season 9.
News broke in November 2024 that the series was getting an overhaul, and a new set of cast members were taking over.
Davies — and the rest of his and Shay’s former Bravo castmates — have yet to comment on Thursday’s headline-making reveal.
