Reality TV couple Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson are apparently headed for a major split.
The Missouri rancher and the blonde bombshell from Texas found love on the 2022 reality series Joe Millionaire: For Richer or Poorer. They continued to share their story on The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys, which focused on Steven, his brothers, and their dad as they ran their family’s business empire. But it looks like there’s trouble in paradise for the couple in season 2 of the Bravo series, which premiered June 30.
Steven McBee Jr. and Calah Jackson return in ‘The McBee Dynasty’ Season 2
The season 2 premiere of The McBee Dynasty made it clear there’s a lot going on for this entrepreneurial Missouri clan. Their business is on the hook for millions of dollars, and they’re facing financial ruin if they can’t make the numbers work. Dad Steven McBee Sr. is out of the picture due to his legal problems, and his ex-girlfriend Galyna Saltkovska is on the warpath now that she’s learned her former boyfriend is dating her friend, Masha. Younger brother Cole McBee and his girlfriend Kacie Adkinson are expecting their first child, and Jesse McBee is getting ready to say “I do” to his girlfriend Alli Ventresca.
And then there’s Calah and Steven Jr., who have been through a lot since season 1 aired in 2023. That includes a breakup and a reconciliation, as well as the devastating and unexpected death of Calah’s younger sister.
“We’ve gone through a lot together, but we love each other,” Calah said in season 2’s first episode.
Unfortunately, Calah is currently on the outs with some members of Steven Jr.’s extended family. She’s upset that his brothers and their girlfriends didn’t reach out after her sister died. But they say Steven Jr. told them to keep their distance. Now, after months of silence, Calah thinks they might finally clear the air at a family barbecue. But before anyone can speak, Kacie is rushed to the hospital after experiencing a medical emergency.
‘The McBee Dynasty’ teases a break-up for Steven Jr. and Calah

Will Calah be able to repair her relationship with Allie and Kacie? The odds don’t look good. A teaser for the rest of season 2 features a tense confrontation between Calah and Kacie, who accuses her of calling Cole and Jesse hillbillies. Worse, Steven Jr. seems to have soured on his girlfriend as well.
“You are the most pessimistic person to ever speak about my family,” he tells her. We then see Calah and her friends at a dinner, where they toast her breakup with her cowboy-businessman boyfriend.
“Bye, Steven,” they say.
“I want to have a fresh start,” Calah says as she moves her stuff out his Gallatin, Missouri, home.
Another teaser shared by Bravo confirms the couple’s split, as the newly single Calah and Steven Jr. both hit the town.
“I feel like it’s been so long since I had fun,” she says, adding, “I love being in the city. I love being around people my own age. And everyone has their teeth in Dallas, compared to Gallatin.”
“Calah and I have been through hell and back over the last few months, and now here I am, starting over,” Steven Jr. says. “I don’t know if I’m ready for it, but what the hell?”
The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo. Episodes stream the next day on Peacock.
