Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs saw a big jump to his streaming numbers after his trial began. People began to listen during key moments in the trial.
While a number of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ business ventures took a hit after his arrest, his music actually saw more streams. Combs, who released his most recent album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, in 2023, still has his music available on streaming platforms. In the early days of his trial, people actually began listening to his albums at a much higher rate than before.
People started streaming more of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ music before his trial
Combs has released five studio albums over the years. His most significant involvement in the music industry was as the head of Bad Boy Records, but he has still picked up a number of Grammy nominations, including a win for Best Rap Album for his album No Way Out.
Bad Boy Records has possibly taken a bit of a hit because of the negative publicity. It doesn’t currently have any major album releases slated. Combs’ own music, however, is faring surprisingly well.
Between April and May 2025, his streaming spiked by 20% (per AP). The jump happened during major moments in the trial, like Cassie Ventura and Kid Cudi’s testimonies. While his streams dropped off by between 5 and 10% in June, they still remained strong.
It is currently unclear how the recent verdict in Combs’ trial will affect his streaming numbers.
