Tua Tagovailoa was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He began his career as a backup to veteran quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick but became the starter the following season.
In 2021, Tagovailoa started a few games before suffering an injury in Week 3. The athlete has had impressive seasons and in 2022, the Dolphins made the playoffs for the first time since 2016. However, he suffered a number of concussions over the years, leaving many to wonder how long he will continue to play in the league.
Fins fans still have high hopes for the signal caller and were a little worried when he put his Miami-area home up for sale in April 2025. But Tagovailoa shut down the retirement talk, telling ESPN that stepping away from the game had not even crossed his mind.
So while he’s not leaving the NFL yet, he is leaving the home he purchased shortly after signing his first contract with the team in 2020. Here’s more on that residence and a look inside.
Tagovailoa lists his lakefront home for $3 million
Tagovailoa’s abode is located in a gated community in the Robbins Park neighborhood of Davie, Florida, about 25 miles north of Miami. Per Broward County property records, he bought it for $1.65 million and is now asking $3 million.
The Long Lake Ranches property features 5,076 square feet of living space, five bedrooms, and four and a half bathrooms. Some of its amenities include a home movie theater, top-of-the-line appliances, a putting green, a resort-style heated pool, a covered summer kitchen, a state-of-the-art fitness center, picturesque lake views, a clubhouse, and courts for tennis, pickleball, and basketball.
It’s also close to a park with hiking and horseback trails. Annual taxes are a little more than $39,000.
Tagovailoa purchased the lakefront single-family pad before he was married and had children. Therefore, some believe he may be looking to unload this residence and purchase an even larger property for his family.
There was a report in late June that a sale on the house was pending, and that the quarterback had already found another home at a new location.
Who Tagovailoa is married to and how many children they have
Tagovailoa married Annah Gore on July 18, 2022. She also attended the University of Alabama when the football player did, but it’s not known when they started dating as they have kept the details of their relationship under wraps.
The couple welcomed their first child, a son named Ace, a month later in August 2022.
During a press conference after Ace’s birth, Tagovailoa said: “It’s very unique how having a child impacts how you view life. There is no playbook for this. It changes the perspective. I’ve always had a tremendous heart for kids. But to go home and see him smiling and laughing is the best thing in the world.”
The pair’s second child, a daughter they named Maisey, was born the following year.
