‘Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months,’ the former couple’s reps said in a statement.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s romance is officially over. But the former couple is committed to keeping things cordial for their daughter, Daisy Dove, 4½, they said in their first public comment on the breakup.

Perry and Bloom’s long-rumored split was confirmed in June after months of speculation that the pair had parted ways. Until now, neither has spoken publicly about the end of their nine-year relationship. They broke their silence on July 3 in a statement shared with People.

“Due to the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry’s relationship, representatives have confirmed that Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting,” the statement read.

“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect,” the statement continued.

Orlando Bloom posts about ‘loneliness’ amid Katy Perry split

Last weekend, Bloom was flying solo as a guest at the high-profile wedding of Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, with insiders reporting that he was ready to embrace his newly single status.

More recently, the Lord of the Rings actor has taken to Instagram to share insights from psychiatrist Carl Jung about “loneliness” and “addiction.” He also shared a quote about parenting:  “Nothing has a stronger influence psychologically on their environment, and especially on their children, than the unlived lives of the parents.”

Meanwhile, Perry has been in Australia, where she was wrapping up the latest leg of her “Lifetimes” tour. On June 30, she teared up on stage during her finale concert down under.

“Thank you for always being there for me, Australia. It means the world,” an obviously emotional Perry said. “Now let’s sing ‘Firework,’”
