The bodies of two men, believed to have died at different times, have been found inside a home in inner Sydney.

Police received a request to conduct a welfare check at a home on Cleveland Street in Surry Hills about 2pm yesterday.

They arrived to find a body of a man inside the home and a crime scene was established.

A short time later, they discovered the body of a second man in a different room.

Police believe both men died in the house at different times within the past month.

The men have not been formally identified but are believed to be aged in their 70s and 80s.

A 63-year-old woman who lives at the same house has spoken to detectives.

Investigations are ongoing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
