Freed by a full pardon from former President Donald Trump on May 27, 2025, reality TV personalities Todd and Julie Chrisley have broken their silence. The Chrisley Knows Best couple expressed deep gratitude, framing their release as an act of divine mercy. Both maintain their innocence, with Todd characterizing their convictions as wrongful and divinely intervened, saying, “God touched President Trump’s heart.” Now home, they’re embracing life with renewed purpose. And they recently shared their plans to relocate. Here’s where Todd and Julie Chrisley are headed next and what they intend to do in a new city.
Todd and Julie Chrisley plan to move to Charleston, South Carolina, and document renovations for a new reality show
Since returning home in late May 2025, Todd and Julie Chrisley have immersed themselves in a triumphant yet reflective new chapter. Reuniting with their family sparked deep emotional moments. Julie even admitted to tears as she adjusted to her husband’s embrace after years apart. They’re taking their next steps in the public eye: filming a Lifetime docuseries that picks up the camera upon their first return home and rebooting their podcast Chrisley Confessions. While interviewed for an ABC News Studios special, Todd and Julie Chrisley also described their plan to move.
“You know, I think we will always have a presence in Nashville,” Todd explained. “But I have a pull for Julie and I to go back to South Carolina — to Charleston — to that area. And we have plans for what we wanna do.”
Todd and Julie hope to explore a major real estate venture in Charleston by transforming a historic mansion into a hotel. The couple expressed wanting to turn this venture into another reality TV show.
“We have hopes of acquiring a hotel — a mansion — there, that we are gonna convert into a hotel, and we’re gonna create a show around that,” Todd continued.
Todd and Julie Chrisley spoke about developing ‘thick skin’ from reality TV
Todd and Julie Chrisley have already rolled the cameras on a new Lifetime docuseries that begins capturing their lives the moment they stepped foot into freedom. Filmed “literally the night that we got home,” the series is evolving rapidly. It has transitioned from its initial focus on their family members — Savannah, Chase, Grayson, Chloe, and Nanny Faye — to now fully include the couple as they document their emotional reunion and reintegration into family life.
Julie spoke about reentering the world of reality TV during the ABC News Studios special interview.
“There were people that loved Chrisley Knows Best; then there are people that didn’t, you know?” Julie said. “So, I think you had to develop this thick skin when you’re in television.”
“I’ve always told my children that it doesn’t matter what someone else’s opinion is of you unless it causes you to question who you are at your core,” Todd added. “No one’s opinion of me has ever caused me to question who I am at the core. So, I don’t worry about someone else’s opinion.”
Savannah Chrisley announced she’s moving out of her parents’ Nashville home
After shouldering the heavy responsibility of caretaking for her younger siblings and maintaining the Nashville mansion while Todd and Julie served time, Savannah Chrisley is now intentionally charting a new chapter. The 27‑year‑old revealed she’s “moving into a condo.” She views this move not just as downsizing, but a deliberate step toward independence after years of parenting her siblings, Grayson and Chloe, under challenging circumstances.
With Todd and Julie turning their attention to new ventures in Charleston, Savannah is carving out a space that reflects her autonomy and vision for a more grounded, self‑driven next phase.
“I’m not gonna miss landscapers,” she said during the ABC News Studios interview. “I’m not gonna miss pool people.”
